I am a UX / Product Designer based in New York City đź—˝, aspiring to create playful experiences and data-informed products for users to improve urban lives.
Outside of Figma, you will find me at Central Park 🌸, the Metropolitan Museum of Art 🖼️, and tennis courts 🎾.
• 3 + years of design experience in product design in News & Culture, Geolocation Service, Online Dating & Event, and Architecture & Urban Design.
• I am skillful at Data Visualization, Gamification Design, Motion Interaction, Front-end Coding and Urban Data Analytics.
• Master of Science in Computational Design Practices (M.S. C.D.P.) at Columbia University with a School-Wide Visualization Award (top 3) in for novel use of media in data visualization in urban studies.
• Transitioned to UX from a Architecture background.
My design approach starts from the high-level point of view as possible, daring to take risks and explore every possibility—even "wild", “outlandish”,"extreme" ideas—to get people talking to inspire creativity. I then incorporate human insights and data to refine these concepts, ultimately crafting high-fidelity designs and animations that bring the vision to life.
From Art to Design
Art and painting has also been my hobby since I was a kid. I received art training for over 10 years for gouache painting and sketching. Also when I studied Landscape Architecture in undergrad, I picked up landscape pen and ink drawing. In 2017 I also did a summer school at UAL(University of Art London). I enjoy painting as it is very good way to observing the our world!
From Architecture, I trained my design skills.
With 7 years of architectural training, I developed strong design thinking, an eye for aesthetics, and hands-on skills in model making and 3D prototyping.
From Columbia University Computational Human Design, I learned product design methods and was aspired to build products in a faster and iterative pace to make positive impact on the marginized communities and promote justice.
During my time at Columbia GSAPP, I studied urban issues like environmental justice, which deepened my empathy for users and helped me design products that promote equity. I also learned about product design in interaction between built environment and tech and met teachers who are Google PMs teaching HCI product design skills and product knowledge in architecture tech/google earth, which inspired me
